This renewed site focuses on my books and writing, as well as the book business (publishing and bookselling). I will display my books, say what they’re about, and provide related information about them – origins, background, historical features, my motivations, chapter samples, where to buy them, etc., etc.
A key part of my stories is their moral, religious, social, and political content (see my about page). In this respect, the main influence on the moral and political construction of my stories is Charles Dickens. He blends the moral, political, etc. content of his stories with the action with virtuoso skill.
My master’s degree is in political philosophy, focusing on Edmund Burke’s ideas on political reasoning; how a nation or people is formed and sustained; and how errant political reasoning causes the collapse of states. In addition to informing my stories, these ideas also motivate the comments on my blog.
I cover a range of political issues on my blog, but a few prominent ones take priority.
The first concerns the nation of Australia. Attacks on the Australian nation and its foundational principles come from several sides. In this context, the nation is understood as a moral and political incorporation. The mass of land on which it sits is secondary. A nation has to be somewhere. In this sense, Australia originated in January 1788. The natives of Australia are the people and their descendants who worked to build the nation. There is no other.
The second issue is Multiculturalism which presents a major threat to the Australian nation and its foundational principles. Multiculturalism is understood as the settlement of migrants in Australia who maintain their customs, political outlook and their allegiance to the land of their origin.
The major multicultural threats come from Islam, a belligerent and aggressive religio-political ideology, China, and India, all of whose colonies in Australia now have significant political power because of the numbers successive governments have let in.
Of growing concern in the multicultural area are the terrorist and espionage threats (See my Spycraft and Espionage page). ASIO, Australian Security Organisation, has recently named three state actors conducting subversive actions in Australia. One must assume that Russia, China, India, and Iran have active spies in Australia.
A third major issue can be variously called the ‘Aboriginal industry’, Aboriginal separatism, or more accurately, an attempted coup by white Aboriginals of predominantly European ancestry to recast, rewrite Australian history and culture, and to delegitimise everyone, including migrants, except themselves.
One might ask how 700,000 putative Aboriginals, including those of predominantly European ancestry, could engineer a coup over 27 million inhabitants. The answer is the Marxists who infect all areas of government and the public service and who drive all radical enterprises.
A fourth major threat is the man-hatred or misandry that pervades our society, and the feminisation of everything. The first can be seen as a result of the second, or what Helen Andrews calls The Great Feminisation.
I won’t be the author of the critiques of feminism. Feminists self-servingly dismiss such criticism as misogyny. No, I will provide links to outstanding female critics of feminism, foremost among whom are Janice Fiamengo and Australian Bettina Arndt. Like Helen Andrews, Fiamengo argues that females precipitate the collapse of civilisation: The (Female) Elephant in the Room. To a lesser extent, I will comment on the Catholic Church from a political perspective – not doctrinal. The Church is suffering the same sort of attacks our secular society is wearing.
