I’ve spent many years articulating my thoughts on conservatism and what a political party should do to satisfy my conservative ideals. While I was once an ordinary Menzies Liberal Party supporter, I would now be considered by many to be far right, which is why, I suppose, I support One Nation. One Nation’s suite of policies comes closest to what I want. It’s a joy to see at last many in the electorate waking up to the damage the leftist parties are doing (and have done) to the Nation. It’s even more encouraging to see the polls putting One Nation as the preferred party. On present indications, the 2026 Victorian state election and the coming federal election are One Nation’s to lose.

I say, to lose.

They’ll do that by doing what conservative groups often do – by shooting themselves in the foot and not checking the crackpots. Attacking a highly admired and respected Australian like Andrew Hastie will not turn out well. Have some of the people commenting on the video below never heard of prudence, of picking your battles?

The warning is there for Pauline Hanson and Barnaby Joyce: drop the Hastie attack. Attacking Hastie is gold for Labor and the other leftist parties. It’s brilliant for the media, who will do all they can to torpedo any chance One Nation has.
