Despite rejecting his status as a historian, Robert Hill, who frequently writes for Quadrant, is one of the best contemporary commentators on colonial history. He makes laughable some of the ‘historical’ claims by white reinvented Aboriginals who are mounting a coup rather than an attempt at separatism – so successful has their political activism been.
