THE ISLAMO-LEFTIST coalition is a political alliance that combines left-wing ideologies with radical Islamic movement, often characterised by a shared animosity towards Israel, Jews, and the values underpinning Western democracy. This coalition is rooted in a convergence of mutual interests and ideological blind spots, where radical Islamic groups advocate for a theocratic governance under Islamic law, while extreme leftists advocate for radical social and political revolution, often viewing Western capitalism as the primary source of global injustice. The alliance has been seen in various movements, including the Occupy movement, Black Lives Matter, Antifa, and the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, which have united in terms of tactics and vitriol to legitimise, demonise, and defame Israel and the United States. This alliance has also been linked to the Palestinian wing of the global Muslim Brotherhood, which has been involved in acts of violence against Israelis. The coalition’s rhetoric and actions seek to normalise antisemitic discourse by rebranding it as political criticism and labelling it as ‘anti-Zionism.’

Socialist activist and Palestine Action Group organiser Josh Lees is seeking a career change after launching a new political party in New South Wales.
A notice in The Daily Telegraph declared an application for the registration of a political party for the state and local governments had been received by the NSW Electoral Commissioner.
The proposed party name is New South Wales Soc, abbreviated to NSW Soc.
