Justice Stephen Burley has ordered $150 million be paid to the Yindjibarndi Ngurra Aboriginal Corporation for cultural loss, and $100,000 for economic loss.
It’s the biggest native title compensation payout ever awarded in Australia.
Traditional owners from Western Australia’s remote north have been awarded $150.1 million in compensation after mining magnate Andrew Forrest’s company dug up hundreds of millions of tonnes of iron ore from their lands without their permission.
It is the biggest native title pay-out ever awarded in Australian history and culminates an almost two-decades-long legal battle between the Yindjibarndi people and Mr Forrest’s Fortescue mining company.
But elders have already expressed their disappointment with the decision, with one describing the payout as “peanuts” when compared to the billions that Fortescue has made from its lucrative Solomon Hub mines that were built on Yindjibarndi land.

It is simply staggering that she thought Angus Taylor, leader of Australia’s traditional conservative party, should have preferenced the leftist Independent/TEAL candidate. It shows an abyss of ignorance generally about Australia’s political makeup and political philosophy. Does she not know there are political philosophies other than the woke/leftist vision to which she subscribes?
But she’s okay. Her feminist mates at the ABC will protect her.
In a just world, the government’s funding of the ABC would be terminated yesterday.
With a few minor local adjustments, this could easily be about our wonderful snooty, condescending ABC.
The usual demented bigots in the media, government, and the civil service have gone berserk over Hanson (allegedly) saying there are no good Muslims. Andrew Bolt, in the video below, shows that Hanson has been misquoted. He makes an irrefutable case for another outburst of Hanson Derangement Syndrome. I need not comment further.
What I want to point to is the pervasive anti-white hatred, specifically Anglohatred, found in Australian society. Few people are stupid enough to say there are no good white Australians. But what are they saying when they talk about white supremacy, illegitimate settler people, and whiteness as a social ill that must be eradicated?
The ABC and SBS are the champions in this sort of maniacal hatred. Think about reinvented White-Aboriginal Tony Armstrong, who turns himself inside out on the ABC with his racist dementia. SBS is anti-white central with its separate channel NITV on which one can hear such casual views as ‘white people are c..ts. SBS News interviewed the Marxist thugs who destroy historical monuments with impunity. Their slogan is ‘Death to the white race!’ Did SBS report them to the police? Of course, not. SBS is a propagandist outlet for Islam, indeed, for all things anti-white.
Is it not marvellous that the Australian government provides a billion dollars a year to people who hate Australia and Australians?
Hugh Marks, ABC CEO, demonstrates here that the government-funded ABC is hopelessly and unapologetically in the control of the rabid Marxist left and that a responsible, fair-dealing government would withhold funding until the ABC is reorganised to fulfil its charter to cater to all sections of the Australian community.
The future of the ABC should be at the top of the list of priorities of parties wishing to govern Australia. There is much work to be done on this.
